Mavis Drake is an absolutely gorgeous lady! A registered Blue Badge guide in the city of Cambridge, she approached me in King's Parade and started chatting me up and then she showed me her... official Blue Badge:-) That's the University's Senate House in the Background, BTW. Mavis is also a bell ringer at the Great St Mary's church.

Allan Brigham is a well-known figure in Cambridge. If you're up early, you'll see him working, which is sweeping the streets. He's well qualified 'cos he's a graduate! This is Cambridge, after all:-) Allan is also a Blue Badge guide and here he is explaining the history of the city to some tourists. He looks like a religious preacher, doesn't he? (This is Free Schools Lane and that's the back of Corpus Christi College.)

Photo's shouldn't just be about "wow" but, I believe, sometimes for a something worthwhile. One of the local causes I support is the work of the Milton Children's Hospice in Cambridge (check out www.each.org.uk). This series is about the Gala/Mayfair fund-raiser they held on May 12, 2007. This is a photo of one of the volunteers, Mrs Whitehouse, who was manning the entry to the grounds.

Robert Needle (right), Chief Superintendent, Cambridgeshire Police based at Parkside Police Station, Cambridge, and Simon Megicks (left), Superintendent. Lovely chaps. And I agree, the police is much misunderstood!
