Ruston & Hornsby Type 165DE 0-4-0 diesel electric shunter (fictitiously) as BR No.D2961 (R&H Works No.418596 of 1957) in BR green livery with a Ruston 6VPHL engine of 165 h.p. at Bridgnorth Shed, Severn Valley Railway, 22 September 2016.

The loco was built for ICI's Winnington works, Cheshire. In 1965 T.H. Ward of Sheffield bought it for use by contractors Higgs and Hill for the construction of Fiddlers Ferry Power Station, Warrington, Cheshire. Later, it went via Wards to Tunnel Cement for use at their Birsley works, Flintshire from 1962-1972. Subsequently, the locomotive was sold to Tinsley and Lovatt of Trentham, Staffs for overhaul, following which it was sold to the Patent Shaft Steelworks of Wednesbury. After that, it was bought for preservation. BR bought two of the mechanical transmission version of this type of loco: No.D2957 (ex-No.11507) & No.D2958 (ex-No.11508).
