Flickr and the power of the internet struck home with me this morning when I noted in my Flickr statistics as I posted my 422nd photo that I am nearing 20,000 views of my photostream and 75,000 views of my images. For many of you, that is probably not much - but for me - considering that when I was taking photos before cyber-space existed, only a handful of people saw my photos - it is amazing to me that they have been viewed by so many and from every corner of the globe thanks to a medium like Flickr. Although I don't take photographs for anybody but myself, it is gratifying to think that others might enjoy them too!

I confess that this is a 'bring forward' that was languishing on page 22 of my photostream. It fit my 'forest abstracts' theme and I have been too busy to process some of my other images that I have taken more recently that fit this series that I am compiling.
