I was back in the nearby sand and gravel pit yesterday. My long-time contacts will recognize one of my favourite photographic destinations. It's spitting distance from Keefer Lake (there are a 'few' more photos from the pit taken at other times and in other seasons in the first comment box). The snow was still deep in many places but fortunately it was hard and crusty so I could walk on top and didn't need snowshoes. As you can see, the melt has started ... Spring has sprung.
