I may have pushed my luck a bit getting this close to her face, but I got away with it, and it was well worth it - it's official, I love my macro lens! :)

A famosa Rua do Capelão, a entrada "oficial" da Mouraria, onde viveu a Severa perto do fim dos seus curtos 26 anos de vida.
O desafio das ruas estreitas e íngremes da Mouraria e o jogo contante entre a luz e as sombras...

This is the famous Rua do Capelão (Chaplain Street), the entrance to Lisbon's "Fado District": the Mouraria. Up ahead you'll find the house where Severa (Maria Severa Onofriana), one of the first female fado singers, lived for the last months/year of her (very short) 26-year life.
A walk through the Mouraria is quite a challenge in narrow and steep streets, as well as a constant game of light and shade...
