I caught him while he was grooming in the sun and, despite the title I gave the photo, I don't think he minded me and my 90D that much :D

The red and white beacon at the end of the south jetty of the Oeiras Marina under an increasingly cloudy blue sky, with a touch of greyish-blue water in the harbour and in the river Tagus. Can you see it? :)

The Fort of São Julião da Barra was built in the mid-16th century and the climate and the confluence of the river with the ocean did not do it any favours throughout its almost five centuries of existence. I love it and the beach in the photo is the one I go to when it's hot enough to go for a swim after my morning walks.

O Forte de São Julião da Barra foi construído em meados do século XVI e o clima e a confluência do rio com o oceano não lhe fizeram grandes favores ao longo dos seus quase cinco séculos de existência. Adoro-o e a praia da foto é aquela onde vou quando está calor suficiente para dar um mergulho depois das minhas caminhadas matinais.

This is as close-up as my modest zoom lens could get of the edge of the Fort of São Julião da Barra, where I found a few birds of a colony of cormorants, just hanging around and drying their wings :)
