I have been selected as Artist-in-Residence for Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories. From July 5 to the 10th or so I get to lounge around at that beautiful campus and, essentially, make art. Cold Spring Harbor, which has been home to seven Nobel Prize winners, including James Watson of "Watson and Crick" fame (whom I'll be photographing), is one of the top biological research labs in the world. And it's gorgeous.

I cannot even begin to describe the wonder of this thing. I'll be taking LOTS of photos of it next month, though. Really interesting viewed large.

The paths are a bit spooky, since the neighbors want the lab to use pinpoint light. But spooky in a cool-looking way, not a "my neighborhood at night" way.
