Fluidr / La Virgen de la mosca by Manuel Cavanillas

La Virgen de la mosca es una tabla pintada al óleo, conservada desde antiguo en la sacristía de la Colegiata de Toro, atribuida a la Escuela flamenca. Se la denomina así por la curiosa mosca que aparece pintada en la rodilla izquierda de la Virgen, sobre el rojo del manto, con mucho realismo. La composición, la relación entre los personajes y los ropajes, están tratados con gran maestría. Se dice que la imagen de la derecha es la misma reina Isabel la Católica.
