This caterpillar was huge and fluorescent green. I acted as a crossing guard until it made it safely to the other side of the trail.

The camouflaged looper caterpillar was hanging out at the top of the flower when the bee came along. They checked each other out, each looking like they were trying to figure out who the strange creature was.

The caterpillar attaches pieces of flowers to its body to disguise itself. It will turn into a wavy-lined emerald moth.
