6/100 (wildflowers)
I've been trying with limited success to get photos of a similar flower across the street from this patch--rain made them close the first day I tried and kept them closed the next couple of days. Today I finally got a few shots, and then crossed the street and found this brand-new patch. But as I look at the photos of both, I see they are a little different. For one thing, the other flowers have one purple streak on one side, and these have purple all the way around. I'm not a botanist, but I'm guessing they're different species. These also bloomed a little closer together, a little easier to get more than one blossom in the same frame, though that could just have happened to be the case.
