Woodpeckers in black and white. Woodpeckers are way up there in favorite subjects for me. Indiana has seven species of them, and several of them are among my favorite birds.

I've only done a few mammals in black and white, but here are a few of them.

I was hanging out at Saguaro National Park in Arizona when a nearly full moon rose beautifully over the mountain. I took a bunch of photos and by then it was rather high in the sky, so I moved on . . . . only to watch it rise even larger over a new mountain, as seen here. (The next night was the full moon, and I watched it "birthed" from the side of a different mountain at the same park, only I didn't get any photos of that event that showed any detail in the moon.)
