13/100 100x insects
32/100 100 flowers

There were two or three very similar tiny moths hanging around, but this one has the brightest orange muff. The large size of the blossom makes the small moth look even smaller. Moth is spotted thyris, 1.2-1.5 cm. HT Judy Gallagher.

Flickr Lounge: photographer's choice

I didn't know the real name of this beautiful little moth. I put the term "chocolate moth" into Flickr though, and an amazing variety of moths (and other insects) came up. It looks like it's probably the spotted beet webworm (Hymenia perspectalis), total length 10-12 mm. I like my name better!
