1/365: January 1

Nearly all my shots are nature photos. Since I don't get outside much in January, I decided to start the year with some indoors practice of close-ups, mostly of natural objects. I don't really like how this shot turned out (because it just wasn;t that pretty a pineapple), but I didn't upload any photos until January 3, and thus didn't get a good look at the photos of the first couple of days to see if I needed any do-overs . . .

This is a close-up of a Christmas ornament that arranged these small shells in a heart shape. Since I don't get out every day in the winter months, I decided to focus in January on close-ups of natural objects I've collected.

It fascinates me how many different varieties of frost can form side by side on a cold morning--even on what seem to be identical surfaces. Here is a "slice" of the frosted car.
