When I first discovered people "talking about" the camera model previous to mine, one of the sample photos I saw was of the moon. The idea that I could stand in my yard and shoot a full-frame photo of the moon with a handheld camera intrigued me. Though a person can get a better "moon" shot with a specialized camera (and I think I have taken some better ones in the past), the sheer possibility is amazing. On this day, the haze around the moon caught my attention and so I took a few photos.

I had to go back into my old photos and find this shot of the moon and clouds taken on a summer day (with blue sky behind the moon).

ODC: superstition: the full moon as viewed on Friday the 13th
I had to wait to see it until it made its way above the trees. Here I stood outside my front door and took its photo between trees. Full frame, uncropped. Handheld. Just a smidgen got cut off the top, but the photo is sharper than the ones that weren't zoomed as close, so it's my keeper.
