This was fascinating to watch, though it took me sometime to figure out what I was seeing, and it was windy enough that most of the shots weren't clear. This wasp kept going back and forth between the top of this leaf and the bottom. After quite a few visits to each end, it pulled out the caterpillar from its hole.

Wasp season is about to gear up in earnest. I cannot wish away summer, my favorite season, but I do love wasp season, and it overlaps nicely with spider season. (Spiders have been unusually abundant already this year.)
