Flickr Lounge: colourful
This is the fourth specimen of this lovely small butterfly I have ever seen, the third in Indiana--and all three in this same park. (Actually I just realized I did find another, elsewhere, earlier this year, but that's still three out of four sightings being in this same park.)

Flickr Lounge: O Is for October
This Orange butterfly is migrating through as October begins!
One of the unusual traits of monarchs is that they are by far the largest butterflies (in my observation) that seek nectar from these tiny asters. I do see common buckeyes on them as well, but otherwise it's sulphurs, pearl crescents, skippers, and cabbage whites.
