Frost doesn't form as symmetrically as snow, and notice that this isn't a six-sided flake. I loved the bubbles on this one, and the detail on the largest flake. My husband loved the gradated blue.
Classical music is my favorite for weather- or season-related music, including the days of being mostly inside during winter that coincides with the Covid-19 pandemic. Special ones include Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 1 "Winter Dreams," Op. 13 and Ballet of the Snowflakes (from Le voyage dans la lune) by Offenbach.

Day 36/365 (1/10 finished); Week 5 Theme: Abstractions
I love the lacy look of this one, with the frost background and frilly flakes.
My husband cleaned the snow off the car yesterday, but didn't get the ice until today. When I went outside this morning it was 3 degrees F, and tiny snowflakes covered all the icy portions of the car. (They hadn't stuck to the parts that were bare metal.) Had snow still been on the car, the new snowflakes wouldn't have been visible. Had the ice been cleared, the new flakes wouldn't have stuck. The ice in the background, with a little leftover snow in some places, gives interesting background details to the flakes.
I estimated that most of the flakes were 1-3 mm. Some of the smaller ones weren't even visible to the naked eye and were probably smaller than a millimeter, and a few of the largest were probably 4 or even 5 mm. All shot handheld with the Raynox 250.
