When I got up early this morning, and set out to find shots of snow on the flowers, I had my endpoint in mind: I could take photos of all the flowers I found on the way, but I had to get to the larkspurs before the snow had melted. In fact it had melted off several of them by the time I got there 90 minutes into my walk, but I found three plants that had that lovely, unexpected, snow-on-purple-flowers I especially wanted. (I also wanted snow on the bluebells, but especially the larkspur. I got both. And the redbud, and the paw paw, and plenty of other trees and wildflowers along the way.)
