Driving around northern Italy is almost a visual overload. Around every turn nature, sometimes combined with the products of an artful culture, presents you with yet another often unexpected visual treat. While passing through a highway toll gate a quick glance to the left brought to view this old castle, which now operates as a hotel, perched on a rock being coated by some glorious rays of sunlight. Since we were exiting a highway I didn't have time to switch to a more preferred lens or really position myself ideally.
