We were treated to quite a spectacle as this storm front approached Petrovac from the sea. In the distance is Sveta Nedjelja Island, approx. 1km from the harbour. The small island has the church of St. Nedjelja perched on its highest point. The original 14th century church (rebuilt in 1979 due to an earthquake) was apparently built by a grateful Greek sailor who survived a shipwreck on its shores - probably on a similar night to this! eventually the wind and rain become so severe that I had to retreat indoors.

Lasted 3 hours, but by morning cloudless skies and 30 degrees again.
