These fine hand embroidered collars were made by a coop of Afro-Mixtec women from the Pacific coast of Oaxaca. The collars are meant to be attached to huipiles or blouses from the area of Pinotepa Nacional, Oaxaca

This is a hand woven huipil from San Pedro Amuzgos, an Amuzgo community in western Oaxaca state, Mexico. The huipil is approximately 40-50 years old. I have some concerns about this one being Amuzgo. It may have been made in Santa Maria Zacatepec (Mixtec)
