After a particularly monsoonal spell of weather, I decided to get out and catch some waterfalls. I had seen an image of the waterfall here at Dearden Clough and having never been myself, I made my way over to Edenfield after taking a shot of the much nearer Hatch Brook Waterfall.
The river here was in spate, more so than Hatch Brook! But what really was unusual was the colour of the water, it looked like a milky Latté ! I tried several different compositions but it wasn't easy as there was a fair breeze blowing down the fast flowing river. In the end I tried different shutter speeds and ISO settings to try and get the foliage as still as I could.
This waterfall marks the site of an old "Fulling Mill", where Dearden Brook powered the site. Typical of many of the old textile industry sites across the Industrial North West of England.
