First trip out to Coney Island in 33 and a third years ... on a hellishly muggy day in September.

The Parachute Jump, last vestige of the former Steeplechase Park. Purchased from the 1939 World's Fair, it was in operation until 1964. Stood derelict for decades, being added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.
