Maj. Gen. Mike Edwards conducted his final key leader engagement as The Adjutant General of Colorado, serving as the commander of the Colorado National Guard, with the Jordan Armed Forces March 19-20, 2017. This was his final visit of many visits to Jordan before his retirement on April 2, 2017. The CONG and Jordan have engaged in the National Guard's State Partnership Program since 2004 and is the first and only partnership in the Levant. By the order of His Majesty the King, Abdallah II bin Al-Hussein, His Royal Highness Lt. Gen. Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein presented Edwards with the Military Legion of Merit First Class Medal, for his continuous support in strengthening U.S. and Jordan's military relations.
