The Warrant Officer Candidate School Class 19-001 graduates and pins on new rank during a ceremony Sept. 22, 2019, at the 168th Regiment (Regional Training Institute), Fort Carson, Colorado. The Colorado National Guard partnered with the Wyoming National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserves to ensure the new officers had the chance to complete the school. During the ceremony, the graduates took the Oath of Office, pinned new rank and were saluted for the first time — in turn giving a silver dollar coin to the first person to salute the new officer. The new officers completed three phases, with the last phase in Camp Atterbury, Indiana, before graduating. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Sgt. 1st Class Aleah M. Castrejon)
