Built originally in 1935 using the designs of Charles H. McCauley, this structure was greatly remodeled in 1963 using the designs of Martin J. Lide.

Guntersville is one of two county seats serving Marshall County, the other being Albertville. It is a charming community located on what has become a narrow peninsula in the middle of Guntersville Lake, a reservoir created in the 1930s from Guntersville Dam on the Tennessee River.
