Built in 1968, this Modern red brick courthouse was designed by the architectural firm of Dana Larson Roubal & Associates.
Bennett County is bordered on the south by Cherry County, Nebraska, on the north and west by the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and on the east by the Rosebud Indian Reservation in a very sparsely populated corner of the Great Plains.
