User / courthouselover / Assumption Parish Courthouse (Napoleonville, Louisiana)
140,260 items
This courthouse with plastered walls is very characteristic of Louisiana, or Acadian, architecture. It was built in 1896 with the designs of the architectural firm of Harrod and Andry of New Orleans. It was built by M. T. Lewman and Company of Louisville, Kentucky. The Assumption Parish Courthouse and Jail were placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

This was the 300th courthouse in the United States that I visited.
