Built in 1916, this outstanding Classical Revival structure is perhaps one of the greatest courthouses on a square in the American Southwest. The Prescott town plaza, which is listed on the National Register, is quite large and doubles as a community park, making for an impressive layout in this central Arizona mountain town. The courthouse was designed by architect William N. Bowman, and it too is listed separately on the National Register of Historic Places.
This was my final courthouse to visit in the state of Arizona.
