Located in front of the 1936 Faulkner County Courthouse, this monument was erected in 1925, with funding from the local chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. It is emblematic of the Jim Crow era in Arkansas.
The monument was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
