Built in 1902-04 at a cost of $210,000, this lovely courthouse was designed by the firm of Charlton & Gilbert. It was constructed with local red sandstone using Classical Revival (Neo-classical) style. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
The building is prominently featured in the 1959 film Anatomy of a Murder, staring James Stewart.
