User / courthouselover / Placer County Courthouse (Auburn, California)

Built in 1894-97, the beautiful Placer County Courthouse in Auburn, California was designed by architect John M. Curtis, and was built by contractor Richard McMann. It is definitely one of my favorite courthouses in the Golden State.

The structure is a contributing property to the Old Auburn Historic District, which was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.
