In 1914 Charles H. Page & Brothers designed this Renaissance Revival structure. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
The county seat was named for the town of Palestine, Illinois in Crawford County. It is pronounced pal-uh-STEEN.

Lynn A. Evans designed this courthouse with brick and steal in 1956. It is of course in Modern style. It replaced a quite remarkable 1889 courthouse that had an almost mosque-like look to it.
Aransas County is located just up the Texas coast from Corpus Christi and Port Aransas.

This courthouse was built in 1892 and was designed by A. N. Dawson in Romanesque Revival style. The tower was removed in 1928. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.
