This handsome stone courthouse was erected in 1917-1918 with the designs of the firm of Trost and Trost of El Paso, Texas. It was remodeled slightly in the 1990s, but it is one of only a very few courthouses in Arizona that dates to the early 20th Century that still serves as a courthouse.
Apache County is one of the huge counties in northern part of the state that extends from central Arizona to the Utah border. It is one of the Four Corners counties.

Built in 1931 with the designs of Roy Place, this Art Deco courthouse is a contributing property to the Bisbee Historic District, which was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
The former 1882 Cochise County Courthouse still stands in the old county seat town of Tombstone.
Bisbee is one of the steepest narrowest towns that I have been to in the U.S. Much like Clifton, Arizona, Bisbee is an old mining town that is laid out in a series of canyons with many of its downtown buildings perched at the bases of steep cliffs.

This former county courthouse was built in 1882 in the original county seat of Cochise County, Tombstone, Arizona. It was designed by architect Frank Walker.
Tombstone was a silver mining community that to this day is known as a "wild west town," even if today it is purely a tourist trap. In 1929 the county seat was moved to the town of Bisbee and this National Register property has become a museum. It is a part of the Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park.

This outstanding red stone courthouse was erected originally in 1894. In 1925 an addition was attached to the back and in 2002 a Modern addition was added on that has taken over as the courthouse. The architect was J. N. Preston.
Coconino is a monster of a county encompassing over 18,600 square miles of northern Arizona. It is by far the state's largest county in a state with only 15 counties. It is home to the Grand Canyon, the Glen Canyon Dam, two national forests, four Indian Reservations, a number of mountain ranges, and miles of unadulterated desert. It is an amazing place.

This courthouse was added onto the north side of the 1894 Coconio County Courthouse in 2002. Johnson Walzer Associates designed it. It took over the county's courts until a new building was erected across the street. Now this one and the new judicial building are both the county courthouses.
