Funding for this Carnegie library was granted on March 8, 1904 in the form of $12,000. It stands at 122 South 3rd Street. Opened in 1906, it now houses the Adams County Superior Court office, having been replaced by a newer library facility directly to the south.

Built in 1897, this ornate palace of justice was designed by architect Brentwood S. Tolan. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2003.

The outstanding Bartholomew County Courthouse in Columbus was erected in 1871 in magnificent Second Empire style. Architect Isaac Hogdson was responsible for its design, and the construction firm of McCormack & Sweeney built it.
