George W. Bunting designed the outstanding Johnson County Courthouse built in 1882. It is strikingly similar to the Gibson County Courthouse in Princeton. The architectural style is recorded as a mix of Second Empire, Neo-Jacobean, and Romanesque Revival.
The Johnson County Courthouse Square was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.
Franklin is located to the south of Indianapolis.

The lovely red brick and stone Romanesque Revival Fayette County Courthouse was erected in 1890. W. F. Kaufman was its original architect, which was restored in 2005.

J. W. Gaddis was the architect of this stately courthouse constructed in 1904-06. Gaddis designed a number of courthouses around the Midwest.
It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992 with the Huntington Courthouse Square Historic District.

Wells County erected this stately Romanesque Revival courthouse in the heart of Bluffton in 1889. George W. Bunting and Son designed the structure, the construction of which was completed in 1891. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
This was my 92nd and final county courthouse to visit in the Hoosier State.

The Brown County Courthouse in historic downtown Nashville was rebuilt in 1873 after a fire. It was reconstructed by the firm of McCormack & Sweeney.
The Brown County Courthouse Historic District was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
