I realize that by Modern 21st Century architecture standards this courthouse is outstanding, but I really dislike it. It was designed by the architectural team of Harry Goleman, Mario Bolullo, and Fred Woods. It acts as the Mobile County Courthouse and County Administration Building, and it was completed in 1994.

This was my very first courthouse to visit in the State of Alabama.

This U.S. Courthouse and Custom House was completed in 1934. It was designed by the team of Carey & Dowling. It is still in use by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama, and was renamed the John Archibald Campbell United States Courthouse in 1981.

The edifice was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.
