Texarkana, Texas is located in Bowie County in the northeastern corner of the Lone Star State. Despite the fact that it is the largest town in its county, by far, the smaller community of New Boston acts as the Bowie County seat.
As a point of interest, Texarkana is geographically closer to Chicago, Illinois than it is to El Paso, Texas.
