Norway, September 2024
I had already made an attempt to photograph this iconic mountain during my 2022 visit to Norway, but had to abandon it due to bad weather.
In September 2024, however, I was finally able to experience Segla in peson.
After a stormy and cold night, which only allowed me a few moments of sleep, I crawled out of my tent in the early morning, well before sunrise.
The conditions seemed perfect, so I positioned myself for the sunrise. The location required me to have a head for heights, as there was a steep 400-metre descent just half a meter from me.
The sun slowly rose over the mountains of the opposite fjord and bathed the scenery in golden light. A moment I will remember for a long time.
