Male Common Yellowthroat Warbler (Geothlypis trichas) - Ritch Grissom Memorial Wetlands (a.k.a. Viera Wetlands), Melbourne, Florida
I often take a fresh look at posts that pop up in "Recent Activity" on my Flickr account, and when they strike me as a bit off in some way, I like to have another go at it.
With this Yellowthroat image I thought the color was slightly off (with a bit to much magenta), so I color corrected it using the black on his face as a color reference. That gave the the BG (background) a better dead cattail look, so I went with that color.
I always do my corrections on full frame files, so when I cropped it to a more bird-centric format I went all rule-of-thirdsy on the eye, and gave him a little more space.
Seems like the way I saw it in 2012
looks somehow different in 2019.

Female Common Yellowthroat Warbler (Geothlypis trichas) - Black Point Wildlife Drive, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Titusville, Florida
Always fun to try to catch these guys through the leaves with a 300.
The 3 is especially good for that in that it is quick to lock in on the antsy little buggers,
and the 5 foot MFD (minimum focus distance) can also be handy to have should they decide to get really close like this girl did.

Magnolia Warbler - K Lot, Sandy Hook National Seashore (Gateway National Recreation Area), New Jersey
View On Black
This little guy was even friendlier than the Kinglet I photographed at the the same spot right next to the K-Lot parking area. But even after photographing it for 20 or 30 minutes I still wasn't quite sure exactly what it was (I was thinkin' Tennesee, or maybe Nashville). Then seeing the confused look on my face it tried to tell me, but I'm not all that good with verbal IDs and remained uncertain in spite of its best efforts to tell me its name. :{(
