Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) - K-Lot Hawk Watch, Sandy Hook National Seashore (a.k.a. Gateway National Park), Fort Hancock, New Jersey

We observed quite a few of these resident Osprey from the Hawk Watch with at least one of them in sight 70 or 80% of the time.

The number of these guys in Jersey has increased dramatically since nature loving organizations and the NPS have been errecting nesting platforms for them. Though there is a pair in Fort Hancock that seems to think they're Storks! LOL

A juvenile Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) in the nest, probably waiting for one of the parents to bring it a fish. Sooner of later they will stop feeding it and it will be forced to hunt on it's own. - Moose/Wilson Road south of Grand Tetons National Park, Wyoming

As the Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) flew away it let go with one foot to rotate the fish forward.

Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) Head shot - Captured atop the Max Brewer Memorial Bridge in Titusville, Florida

These guys like to sit on the light poles that line the Max Brewer Bridge walkway and have people passing under them all the time, so I actually had to wave my arm to get this guys attention.
He went back to looking for fish right after this shot, and pretty much ignored me after that.
That was OK with me since I had captured "the look" I was going for.
