Today I visited an area in my home town of Suzhou where the old houses are preserved for local cultural heritage. These are not museum pieces but living structures where people still live their lives. This house is probably close to a hundred years old.

Suzhou is in an area in China where water is abundant. The most magnificent flower in the summer is the lotus. Unfortunatelly I am here too early to witness the blossoms. This is an early riser.
