For some reason I went straight to this neighborhood after checking into the hotel on Sunday, the first day of my visit to San Francisco.

The painted ladies from the other side of Alamo Square opposite the most famous Painted Ladies row houses.

These beauties enjoy a relative calm and less staring from tourists than their more famous cousins. For some reason, I like them even better.
