No other info on the CDV.
He looks like a Edwardian Gentleman to me. But I could be wrong. This was a on line photo find. The CDV came from California but it was originally taken in Dixon, Illinois. Now it's back in the same town it was taken. It makes me wonder about this photo, as with many of my photos. How did this photo get from Illinois to California? Did the photo travel to California with a friend or relative? Maybe his wife had it safely tucked in her purse as they rode a big steam locomotive out west. Maybe he never left Dixon & he mailed it out there. He could have just been visiting Dixon. Had his photo taken and was not from this town/state at all. I hope he had a good, happy, full life.
