It was the first and last shot - as the weather closed in to schedule - Dennis, John and I stuck together as conditions were expected to be bad and did the A2 recce - in full, despite the wind and the rain. We were glad to get back after 11 miles without any major grief.

Someone had taken a lot of care with the stripes and on the top of the trig point there is a symbol as shown on the insert.
