Little did we know that the people of Hong Kong were well into over the top Christmas decorations!

Most people in Hong Kong live in apartments, and there are a lot of gardens.
Dennis was map hunting, first trying the Post Office in Nathan Road (on display but not in stock), and then the near by map shop, found with helpful instructions from the person Dennis spoke to in the Post Office.
In the meanwhile I was allowed to take pictures in the Public Square Street Rest Gardens.

Public Square Street is in Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The street is off Nathan Road. The public square in the street's name refers to Yung Shue Tau , a gathering place in front of the Tin Hau Temple.
I wasn't being very observant as I missed noticing the temple!
Tin Hau, Goddess of the Sea, is revered by fishermen and anyone whose life and destiny is tied to the sea.
But the location of this Tin Hau Temple in the middle of urban Yau Ma Tei with no coastline in sight might strike you as rather odd. The explanation is land reclamation, as originally this temple was on the harbour-front!

The garden had many birds flitting around and I managed to capture this Magpie Robin.
