Taken on the way home from Scotland - actually we didn't go to Bluff, and at the time this photo was taken we thought we were only going to South Island, but as there were not enough volunteers for that holiday we switched to the North and South Island holiday and started in North Island.

The statue was unveiled in 2014.

Ghostly reflections..through a window that was reflective so you can see into the cathedral and the reflections..there was an orchestra practicing and so we were not able to go inside.

The Auckland Domain Wintergardens The Wintergardens consist of two greenhouses connected by a courtyard with a large pond and a large fern garden.

This is Caesar enjoying the Cool House flowers.

Jackie, and therefore Caesar spent the 15 minutes or so taking pictures in the Cool House, Dennis made it to the courtyard, and (no surprises here for those that know us) both Dennis and Jackie made good use of facilities, so to speak!

The Northern Cool House was built in 1921. Plans for the complimentary tropical house and coonecting courtyard were made at this time, hower due to funding issues the tropical house and courtyard were not completed until 1928.

Domain seems an odd word to use, in New Zealand it means public space.

Dennis is fairly certain that this is the tropical house (1928) taken from the Northern Cool House.

It is definately the courtyard and pond in the middle!
