A long day - a mid morning flight from Gatwick to Vancouver which arrived early afternoon, due the the 8 hour time difference.

Our first walk in Canada was an urban walk from our hotel, starting with the harbour area.
There were no photos from our arrival afternoon the previous day as the heavens opened before we went on our introductory walk, and I soon realised my shoes were not up to coping and opted out.
LightShed is a 2004 sculpture by Liz Magor, and is located on the seawall of Harbour Green Park, in the Coal Harbour district of Vancouver.
The crooked structure is a model of the freight sheds that used to be common along the waterfront.
All elements of the shed have been cast in a soft grey non-shiny aluminium - even the barnacles on the nearest pillar - which I did not notice until I was researching the internet for information before posting this photo.

Houseboats spotted at Coal Harbour Marina.
I was very taken with them, a quick grab shot as we passed by.

Alas, we saw no sea otters in the sea, or anywhere else, but I did spot this road otter.
