Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway No 8 "Hurricane" is seen on Denge Marsh shortly after departing from Dungeness whilst working the 11:00 to Hythe. Tuesday 21st April 2009.

Built by Davey Paxman & Co. and delivered to the railway in July 1927, shortly before the war it was painted blue and renamed "Bluebottle" and name which it would keep until after the war when it regained the name "Hurricane". In 1957 she hauled a Royal train carrying HM the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles and Princess Anne and to this day retains its now famous blue livery.
