On Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th January 2019 the A227 between Vigo and the A20 roundabout at the bottom of Wrotham Hill was closed which caused problems for route 308 which operates from Gravesend to Sevenoaks via Meopham, Vigo and Borough Green.
Whilst Arriva did what they could to provide a shuttle between Gravesend and Vigo all of the Sevenoaks through services were diverted from Camer Corner in Meopham via Longfield Hill, Longfield, Lane End, Sutton-at-Hone, Farningham and West Kingsdown before picking up its usual line of route at the bottom of Wrotham Hill a deviation of some 16 miles!!
Arriva Kent Thameside 4043 GN09 AWU is seen on Green Street Green Road near Lane End on the diversionary route as it slowly makes its way to Gravesend on a northbound route 308. Thursday 17th January 2019.
